So, we finally made it to the end of Season 1!Thanks

I’d like to say a big ‘thank you’ to everyone who has been following the exploits of Puck thus far. Your comments and continued readership have been the kick up the arse that I sometimes needed in order to get this thing done, so thanks!

Toadrider: The Definitive Edition

When I started publishing way back in September 2013, I had no idea that this comic would get the reception that it has. Actually, I half expected to sell the film rights and never work again, but there’s no accounting for idiocy!

Since then, I like to think I’ve grown up a bit. I’ve honed my craft a great deal and now realize that maybe the comic wasn’t quite ready to be winning any awards in its original form. This is why I’ve gone back and redrafted the entire thing. Yes, I am insane, but I write this blog post with the stiff fingers and satisfied smile that accompany a job well done. Purists needn’t panic: there have been no major changes to the plot. I’ve just tightened up the dialogue and redone the lettering so that it looks a bit more like a proper comic. And it really does! In fact, I am proud to announce that Season 1 is no longer a work in progress. It’s finished! And it’s actually quite good! As soon as Juan and I have put together the cover art, the whole collection will be available as a digital download on all good distribution platforms and devices.

If you can’t or won’t pay, then worry not: I’ll be publishing the definitive edition of ‘Legend of the Toadrider: Season 1’, 2 pages a week, split across 6 daily updates, on this very site, starting in October. Of course, Patrons won’t be charged for any of these. By the time the whole thing has gone live, Season 2 should be ready. That’ll be sometime in 2016. In the meantime, you can expect some teaser sketches and updates on the blog too.

Oh, and if you already paid for ‘The Farmer’s Wife’, you’ll be receiving a free copy of the new edition by email. Can’t say fairer than that.

I’ll be back with another blog post soon.

What did you guys think of the conclusion? Any questions you’d like to see answered in Season 2? Drop me a comment, because I’d love to know.
